Activities to reduce stress

More and more adults, young people and children are living with high levels of stress, either because of work in the case of adults and young people, or because of the pace of life they lead and the place where they live.

So, to help reduce stress and its effects on our physical and mental health, it is necessary to be aware of it and dedicate some time every day for at least 5 minutes, and perform deep breathing exercises, slowly inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth in the same way, slower if possible. Imagine that as you exhale you are getting rid of your worries, your problems, work, school, etc. Inhaling and exhaling repeatedly will help you to reduce mental tension.

We also recommend you to take a walk either to the park, the beach, forest, or whatever allows you to be in contact with nature and allows you to feel fresh air touching your skin, if possible walk barefoot on the sand, grass or the ground. This helps you to create contact with the soil and free yourself from the positive ions that in this case are not convenient for our health. If you cannot go for a walk, do 10 to 30 minutes of exercise at home, this will help you to produce endorphins, which help to balance the effect of the hormones produced by stress.

To sum up,

  • take deep breaths
  • exercise
  • step on the soil
